about us

Our Mission

Today, the growing success of the Aboriginal economy indicates that we are steadily progressing towards recovering equitable and sustainable business relationships between Aboriginal peoples for the betterment of all Canadians.

Innovatus is a registered non-profit organization that assists budding entrepreneurs in their new ventures and startups. As a business incubator, we will provide management training, office space and mentorship in the crucial early stages of creating and launching a successful company.

We have put an emphasis on supporting Canada’s youth as well as Indigenous entrepreneurs. Among the main objectives of the organization is to enable startup companies predominantly run by youth and Indigenous entrepreneurs to access much needed resources, experience, and networks.

Our incubation services will help businesses get over the initial hurdles when starting a business. These hurdles include space, funding, legal, accounting, computer services, and many other prerequisites to running a successful company.

Our Vision

Our vision at Innovatus is to give back and support our youth and First Nations communities though business incubation services. This initiative is vital in establishing a company’s foundation. We work towards providing knowledge and access to services

Firstly, we will help to plan a business by turning a great idea into a business plan. Secondly, we will help launch your business by turning the plan into reality by registering and starting to conduct business. Additionally, we will help manage the business by helping master day-to-day operations and prepare for success. Likewise, we aim to help grow the business by finding new funding, locations and customers when the business is established and it is time to expand.

Our undertaking is to achieve equality, access and full participation in business for First Nations people and youth in every aspect of Canadian life. Our organization includes staff who possess extensive knowledge, experience and business acumen which will allow for us to provide exceptional service. We have been able to bring prominent start-up businesses established by the First Nations communities, who will share their firsthand experience with new youth and First Nations entrepreneurs. Innovatus seeks to improve the quality of information and services provided to youth and Indigenous individuals in Ontario. This will be achieved by:

• Providing users with moral, accurate, reliable and timely information

• Creating a space where users can get answers to their business issues and problems

• Linking youth and First Nations people to in-person mentorship services to assist them with having their businesses reach new goals.
